Business Challenges

Achieve year-on-year cost reductions and working capital improvement in line with expectations reported to the City following the acquisition of a competitor.

What we did (and are presently doing)

The project scope is considerable with hundreds of sub-projects; SpringTide is providing support at many levels.

Leadership      Supporting the Category Director for Transport in developing the strategic direction for all haulage across Europe, with a spend of £100m; diagnostics, focus/vision and general advice

Execution        Project managing the programme across core and subcontractor resources (including SpringTide) to ensure that timescales and targets are met

Support            Deployment of a team of Category Experts in all forms of transportation: domestic; import/export; FTL; groupage; deep sea; warehousing

Analysis           Process underpinned with a strong analytical team, supporting the RFx process from market intelligence through to bid evaluation and contract award

Recruitment     Introducing rigour to the process of engaging a pan-European team via the use of an Assessment Centre model with bespoke Case Studies and questioning
