The Challenge
The Bio-Pharmaceutical Company employed SpringTide to implement a Procurement technology platform and provide support to ensure a successful roll-out over the entire global operation.
Our Solution
SpringTide developed and implemented a Global Payment Terms strategy for the top $4 billion of suppliers to meet the company’s strategic cash flow goals. We also created Strategic Sourcing, Category Management and SRM tools and techniques
In order to achieve a successful roll-out of the system, SpringTide undertook a number of activities. We created a Global Ariba User Support Model to ensure the E2E Strategic Category and Supply Plan process was properly developed and executed. SpringTide also completed global training on 250 procurement professionals and created a comprehensive platform of guides and tools in order to ensure that the system was effectively used and managed by employees.
SpringTide delivered ongoing support for the clients Centre of Excellence function, which involved project management, strategic sourcing and supply planning, strategic sourcing project execution, scorecard development and monthly performance management reporting creation and development.
To ensure tight project plans were met, we executed weekly meetings with C-level Procurement and BU level management and offered an on-site and remote support programme.
The Result
Within the first 4 months of the Ariba platform going live, the system executed over 75 strategic sourcing events, over 100 Market Intelligence projects and over $1.6 Billion of Sourcing Events were conducted on the system!
We achieved this through the implementation of our Ariba support model and the constant support, expertise and momentum provided by the SpringTide team working side by side with that of the client.
Since the system was rolled out, the client has extended SpringTide’s support for a further year due to the consistent quality of work and timely service.
