SpringTide Procurement’s latest win is the prestigious Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) 2015 Annual Award for Excellence in Supply Chain Best Practice. Over 500 of the UK’s leading professionals in transport, logistics and planning attended the Awards Dinner, which was hosted by BBC’s breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty.
CILT Royal Patron, HRH The Princess Royal, presented SpringTide’s Managing Director Mike Utting with the Award, which we are delighted and proud to have received. It recognises the team’s talents and a forward-thinking client partnership with FTSE 250 Packaging sector organisation, DS Smith. We have introduced procurement strategy and models to deliver cost, value and technology improvements, primarily for road haulage, across DS Smith’s pan-European footprint spanning 20+ countries and 300+ sites. Auditable benefits are in the multi-millions and the model we have created is highly transferable.
SpringTide’s solutions focus on delivering financial and operational benefits by enhancing the effectiveness of Procurement to deliver savings and drive value. Achieving this requires the closest supplier/client collaboration and a continuous drive to optimise supply chains. The CILT Award demonstrates SpringTide’s unrivalled experience of managing the complex procurement of transport and logistics on a large scale.
In addition to winning the CILT Award, this year SpringTide are also finalists in The Executive Awards (Best Supply Chain Consultancy); Logistics & Supply Chain‘s 19th European Supply Chain Excellence Awards (Automotive, Aerospace/Industrial and Logistics/Distribution categories); and the Welsh Fast Growth 50 Awards.
This all builds upon successes last year, too, when we were also shortlisted for “Best Procurement Consultancy Project of the Year” in the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Supply Management Awards. Fast Growth 50 2014 also recognised us as the second fastest growing company in Wales, whilst judging us Winners in the Professional & Financial Services category.
With offices in Wales, England and the USA, SpringTide continues to help businesses reduce costs, improve supplier relationships, reduce waste, enhance cashflows and ultimately realise procurements’ contribution to their own internal value-chain. All of this gives our clients exceptional competitive advantage.
